Test Tomorrow

Our test is tomorrow and I may have spoken to soon about the chapter. The last quiz went really well but after missing 2 days of lessons because of AP testing the test tomorrow will be a doosy. Hopefully this test will end ok. I hope.

Linked below are a few sites I used to supplement the lessons I missed

Charles's Law

Just a quick little blurb about Charles's Law. Just another iteration of PV/nT = PV/nT. This time, however, Pressure stays constant as well as amount of gas so the equation boils down to V/T = V/T. Still feeling pretty good about the unit so far.

Avogadro's Law

Last partial law to learn before the test. Avogadro's law is again just an iteration of PV/nT = PV/nT. This time though the equation is boiled down to V/n = V/n. Again, the hardest part of this unit so far will be to remember the name to the law with each part of the equation. I'm still feeling pretty good.

Boyles Law

The first of the ideal gas laws that we will learn this unit is starting off pretty easy. PV = PV. basically Pressure and Volume before must equal pressure and volume after. This idea is very similar to momentum in physics so this almost second nature. I guess we'll just have to see how the rest of the chapter goes.

Biodiesel

Image result for biodieselSo we just started our video project to enter in the ALA Biodiesel Project. I'm really excited to see what will come out, we've got some really exciting ideas that we can't wait to share. Go Biodiesel!!

When she said we were on the down hill now, she was right

I'm going to be honest, I have a good feeling about the chapter. All of the things she has taught us all seem to be reminiscent of physical science. The PutPut boat should be really fun, I'm excited to do some engineering for a science class.

Up Late Studying, Might as well make a post

Tonight's the night before the test and though I usually try to get a good night's sleep and try not to stress about the test,  I did some heavy review/crash course on molecular bonding.  I have found that because I wasn't in class for the lesson I have develop an alternate way of thinking. This was brought to my attention after her I was not able to explain certain molecular structure problems to other students. I guess we'll see how it works out tomorrow. Below are a few tables and graphs that have helped me through this unit both for educational and moral support.

Molecular Shape

Today the class went over molecular shape or at least that is what I've heard after asking around. Since I'll be at a Robotics competition for the next few days, I'm worried about being able to learn the material in time for the test. However, I have found a few links that should help out with learning the material.

Guess we're back at it!

Unit started a few days ago and something tells me this unit will be very conceptual. Math has always been more my strong suit in chem. I guess we'll just see how this unit goes. :-/
